In short, well done. To hit excellent for all areas next year you need to: use more media theory to support your points and go into more detail concerning representation, audience and technology.
Your practical work demonstrates proficiency in the following technical and creative areas (some areas were close to excellent I will indicate where): * Producing material appropriate for target audience (I particularly like the Japanese slant you gave you work to make it stand out and fill a gap in the market). * Showing conventions of page design and layout conventions (I particularly liked your double page spread, this was excellent) * Showing awareness of the need for a variety of fonts and text size (this is the main area you could have improved to move towards excellent think more carefully about some font choices e.g. those used on the cover in places). * Appropriate language and register (proficient on all pieces). * Using ICT appropriately for task set (Photoshop and InDesign). * Appropriately integrating illustration and text (I particularly liked the comic character you created yourself on the content page). * Shooting a variety of material appropriate to task set (I particularly liked you lighting and the sunglasses being thrown for the cover shot, this was original and appropriate for your target audience/genre). * Manipulating photographs (again colour/lighting was impressive) to the context of presentation, including cropping and resizing). In short, well done you have massively improved since you first attempted this brief last year and it was well worth the work of doing the re-sit as these skills will help your progress at A2.
